One Year Old

Last year, 2008, December.....day to remember
We started our business at a room around 100 sq, til now, 3 to 4 times bigger, just one year, we grow, and growing

What i can see for the whole year of selling and trading toys, Malaysian collector, even whole world, need to learn, movie...

Because of the movie, you will fall in love will the toys, if the movie boom, wau... toys are demanding, if no, gosh, we will stuck at the stock, just like GI Joe

Ya, for me, GI Joe is not my cup of tea, hero with no hero, fight with no reason, story like no story, watch like dream, you will forget once you woke up, if you ask me to recall the movie, the only thing i can remember is a pair of Ironman fighting in the city with no reason, run and running....

Recently i watched a fantastic movie (for me, but not for the most of my friends), District 9.
It touches my heart, the way of the movie shot, so real, off course, a lot of people is complaining the illogical of the movie story line. Aiyo, there are no logical staff we can tell base on a movie, just watch and enjoy please......

District 9, about the cruelty of human beings to aliens, the way i look at it, the aliens are just like the minority of race on Earth who always live under the majority race, it happens, now, and its happening, human never satisfy to what we had, living in dreams, need more, know more, unfinished business.

I love the movie, i watch it for 3 times, still like it, the best movie of the year 2009

But for the majority, if i asked, they will say Transformer is the best

No doubt, it is a great movie, perfect characters arrangement, Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobot, he is the key of the movie, a toy which must own...

Bore, it is same rice which is fried again after 2 years, no excitement, predictable ending, massive robots arrangement, who is the bad guys and good guys ? hardly recognize.

As a toy store owner, i need to raise my arm, salute to Transformer, once it came, all other toys have to move aside, no one will buy or ask anymore.

Almost everyday, i received SMS, "Sean, got OP" , "Sean, got Jetfire?", "Sean, Human Alliance ada stock ?", and the recent one, "Sean, Buster dah sampai ?" , "Sean, when Buster in stock ?' , "Sean, why so long haven't get Buster ? "

"Buster ! " , "Buster ! " "Buster ! " "Buster ! " "Buster ! " "Buster ! " "Buster ! "

Finally, it arrived on the last day on Nov, 30.11.09, 250 pcs of RA24, Buster Optimus Prime, within few hours, more than half of it gone, collector is crazy for it, off course, no doubth, it really nice, value for money

Alot of customer might say, "Sean, earn a lot lah, so many Buster", honestly to all, we are losing.
Eh ? Sean, tipu lah, mana mungkin

No one beliave, but is true

For one year of dealing, i learnt, toys business are no easy, earning, not at all, if you want to earn money, i think sell "che chuang fen" is better

Then, Sean, why you want to sell toys ?

Money can't buy, because of the business, i met diffrence people everyday, met new friends, they are cute, human are all kinds, fun, really fun to run a toy business

i love it

After Transformer, what next ? Still Transformer, story and products never ends

How about District 9 ? Any toys ? sorry, no, don't have. WHY ? Non one like the movie, then, no one will but their toys

Life......sign.....

Hellboy 18inch

Hellboy, a comic character created by Mike Mignola. He is demon who fights for the U.S government and himself against dark forces.

His right hand, name as “Right Hand of Doom”, a huge stone like red arm, its large size causes Hellboy has to refer to his left arm to operate weapons and devices

The first day I know about Hellboy, is the 18inch collection by Mezco toys, by the year 2004, from what I know, it comes with 3 difference design, opened mouth, closed mouth and battle damaged horn version.

Movie 18 inch Hellboy, play by Ron Perlman. Figure comes with his signature weapon, Samaritan. My personal opinion, SUPERB. Huge, realistic facial expressions, stylish body pose, cool….

An exclusive product by Mezco for Tower Records, stand around 18 inch, including the horns, 20 inch, at least. Basically the material and accessory is the same with the previous version, but off course, obviously it’s come with a pair of huge horn and a battle damaged torn jacket.

Both version of Hellboy comes with the removable t-shirt and jacket, one more thing, the jacket that our Mr.Hellboy wearing is made by pvc, so it has leather looks alike, shine…

As a collector, no doubts, I have the both version of Hellboy, about design and workmanship, no comment, but there is one tiny little problem that every 18inch Hellboy owner with face, the knee. Due to the weight of the figure, the knee joints start to show some gaps after sometime, it make the figure losing it’s balance, finally, our the great Hellboy fall……

My solution is simple, super glue, ha…Off course it makes the figure loose it flexibility to pose, but the hero is able to maintain it strength and stability

4 years later, Mezco announced 18 inch Hellboy 2, as a hardcore Hellboy collector, how can miss the item, again, it comes with 3 difference design, opened and closed mouth, an limited of cigar version

This time, figure come with Samaritan, cloth jacket and the Big Baby. Mezco has overcome the knee problem like the previous version, it stand straight, stable. Last version, his right arm, is holding the fist, this time, he open his right arm to allow the Big Baby to place on it. No much comment I can give for it, if 10 is the full points for it, I will rank it 9. Another 1 is due to he’s left arm. Suppose that it use to hold the Samaritan and Big Baby, unfortunately, his fingers hold to firm, it can be open to place gun on it, I can said impossible to put on it.

After all, I found a solution, hair blower. I used a hair blower to blow on his left arm, said about a minute, then slowly open its thumb to have more gabs to hold his favorite weapon.

Its hold well on it, but when you try to pose his left arm open, our hero finally falls.

Most of my friends and customer like the cigar version, but for me, open mouth is my cup of tea. Why? Simple, my Hellboy is unclothes, its look cool and stylish when his open mouth

Half year later, Mezco announce to manufacture a worldwide 500pcs limited production 18 inch wounded Hellboy…

Overall, it looks cool, especially the paint job on the bandage, red but not bright red, kind of brownish, it looks realistic. Furthermore, that have the bloodied spear tip from Prince Nauda’s spear still protruding out of his chest

This time, the Big Baby is absent, just come with the Samaritan, in other circumstances, its make sense, because in the movie, Hellboy didn’t hold the Big Baby while he is injured, right?

Same problem, the left arms too firm, blower again to fix the problem, after all, both items come from the same mould.

Rm270 for such a limited, details, huge and stylish figure, where can you find it?

Will it be good if a toy shop can accept old, unwanted toys, loose, or even any old collection that I feel like need to let go and replace with new, trade, is my solution……A toys store, is a dream of a child since I started to collect toys, but a strong feeling, I have, to collect a maximum toys as I can…but how? To start and proceed an idea needs help, I can’t work alone, I need to find a person who has the same feeling that I have and passion, for a year of searching, no one match. Until a half year before, a guy come to me, he is my old friend’s brother, Gin and this is how hobility.com started.
